Attending Morehead State University for their GSP experience, Ryan Crum chose the focus area of Psychology and Trey Grant’s focus area was Visual Arts (Graphic Design). Cameron Lane and Haley Williamson attended Northern Kentucky University with Cameron’s focus area being Philosophy and Haley’s focus area being Visual Arts (Self Portrait). Enjoying their GSP experience at Murray State, Andrew McNamee participated in the focus area of Photoshop and Journalism and Will Williamson’s focus area was Communications and Social Theory. The GSP scholars talked about their experience with the board members citing some of the benefits of participating in the GSP program such as allowing them the opportunity to participate in a new atmosphere of intellectual diversity; making amazing new friendships; and understanding other cultures. In addition, by participating in the Governor’s Scholar Program, these students qualify for an average college scholarship award of $80,000.
